This watch is for people who like to have an overview of their activities. Among other things, I like the record of sleep quality and general information on body condition (heart rate, body battery, readiness for training, etc.). Btw., there is a clear map with accurate GPS (GPS accuracy can be selected in the settings).
The quality and design is exactly what I expect from a pro watch. I would just prefer a flat glass to be able to use some protective foil. Some kind of foil is available for this watch, but a flat glass would allow for more types of protective layers, not just a foil.
Battery life in normal use is a few days, with my settings it shows 5 to 6 days - I have not tested the battery life in active navigation in nature, but it can be assumed to last a full day.
The environment is very sophisticated and it is therefore essential to learn how to operate this watch. Sometimes it is easier to make some settings through the smartphone via the Garmin Connect app or on the computer. For example, it is better to plan a trail on the computer and upload the planned trail to the watch via the Garmin website.
Otherwise, I would appreciate if there would be an option to create my own layout of the watch. The available layouts are not to my taste and if they are, it is not possible to add all the information I would prefer. I have just found that it should be possible to program own layouts, it is just necessary to learn how to program. I would therefore appreciate a more user-friendly environment in which it would be possible to easily add different information and graphic features, change its size, position, colour, but unfortunately this is not available.
What I really miss is the absence of an app for youtube music. Sometime in June 2023 it was announced that Garmin was starting to work with Google on this, but there has been no official news since.
Otherwise, these watches are not for people who would want to use them to replace a mobile phone. You need to choose another brand for that.
